Working For Open Space and the Environment
Senator Dinniman led the successful effort to create the ChesLen Nature Preserve - 1068 acres of open space in Newlin and West Bradford Townships.
Andy secured much needed funding for numerous open space, land conservancy, and environmental projects such as the Okehocking Nature and Environmental Center in Willistown Township.
Senator Dinniman has introduced legislation and is working with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture to amend the Open Space Act of 1983 to ensure that agricultural easements paid with taxpayer dollars will remain secure and open space forever.
Dinniman has continued to work to protect local rivers and streams, and has taken a leading role in the effort to designate Pickering Creek as an Exceptional Value Stream. The Pickering is a critical natural resource in our area and a source for drinking water.
