Working For Civility and Putting People First
The American political scene, in Senator Dinniman's view, has become one of extreme partisanship and nastiness. It lacks basic civility. Dinniman says, "We need to put people before party". Andy does his very best to reach across party lines and other divisions to bring people together to solve the problems we face as a community.
In his votes in the Senate, Dinniman votes with the Republicans as well as the Democrats since no one party has all the answers. His first concern is to represent the interests and concerns of his constituents, without regard to party.
Andy is very proud of the excellent and comprehensive constituent services his district office provides. The office reaches out at every possible event to let people know of their services and desire to help. As a result of these efforts, over 100 people per day call for assistance, information, and state publications. Additionally, many more constituents come to visit the district office in person, or stop in during the satellite office hours held around the district.
