Working For Business and the Economy

Senator Dinniman has received a 100% pro-business rating from the Main Line Chamber of Commerce based on his voting record, and the endorsement of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, the National Federation of Independent Businesses - PA (NFIB-PA), and the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry (CCCBI). Dinniman is recognized as a friend of the business community and has steadfastly supported and encouraged entrepreneurship in today's challenging global economy.

Andy has introduced Senate Bill 1521 to help life science and information technology businesses hurdle the financial obstacles that start-up companies typically must overcome before they can grow and provide jobs.

Dinniman crossed the aisle and joined Republican Senators in voting for three bills that will let Pennsylvania businesses better compete in the global economy. Senate Bill 1385 raises the cap on net-operating-loss deductions from $3 million to $5 million or 20% of taxable income; Senate Bill 1387 raises the section 179 deduction (the cost of machinery and equipment) from $25,000 to $50,000; and Senate Bill 1388 reduces most business taxes by amending the formula for how a businesses net income tax is formulated.

All of these measures, as well as the legislature's recent energy package, will support and allow Chester and Montgomery counties to continue to prosper and provide good paying jobs.
